GREENACRES, Fla. (CBS12) — A 20-year-old was severely injured early Saturday when his speeding truck veered out of control and struck multiple trees in Greenacres.
According to the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office (PBSO), the driver’s Toyota truck was speeding down eastbound 10th Avenue N around 4:30 a.m.
Deputies say the driver failed to maintain control of the truck and spun out, crossing the median before striking several trees.
The driver was transported to St. Mary Medical Center for his injuries, which are believed to be non-life-threatening, per PBSO.
VHI investigators documented evidence from the scene, and PBSO says Road Patrol personnel are handling the investigation and crash report.
