A stabbing incident at South Bay Prison on Saturday morning resulted in a patient being trauma coded and airlifted for treatment.
Around 7 a.m., Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (PBCFR) responded to the situation on the 600 block of US HWY 27.
The identity of the severely injured victim has not been confirmed, as it remains unclear whether they are an inmate or a staff member.
PBCFR stabilized the victim at the scene before activating a trauma alert and transporting them to a hospital for further care.
