State Road 112 exit eastbound to MIA closed due to vehicle fire: Officials

The State Road 112 exit eastbound to Miami International Airport is closed Monday morning due to a vehicle on fire, airport officials said.

The exit was closed by the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office and Florida Highway Patrol due to the fire “at the railroad crossing at LeJeune Road,” according to the airport.

It was unclear if anyone was injured, or what caused the fire.

Eastbound traffic to Miami International Airport is being impacted, and drivers are advised to give themselves extra time and consider alternate routes.

This is a developing story.
