Student arrested, charged with three counts of battery after altercation at UF Plaza

Officers arrested 18-year-old SL, of Sarasota, at 12:39 a.m. on Saturday after she got into a physical altercation with three people, including an employee at UF Plaza, Saturday morning.

Officers say the string of violence began when L got into a fight with two female victims in the bathroom of a bar, where she pulled the victims’ hair and proceeded to the ground.

While an employee was escorting L out of the bar and attempting to take off her wristband, L punched the employee in the head.

According to the report, L said: “She pulled me somewhere I didn’t like, so I hit her.”

All three victims declined medical attention.

L, a student, was charged with three counts of simple battery.
