Summerfield woman arrested after altercation at medical office

A Summerfield woman was arrested after an altercation in a medical office parking lot.

MAM, 54, of Summerfield, was in a vehicle at about 10 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot of Advent Health at 8550 NE 138th Lane in The Villages when she began she began arguing with the driver, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver asked M to get out of the vehicle. M became angry and threw an empty medication box at her. M followed up by slapping the other woman in the face three times.

M got out of the car and the other woman called 911. M was apprehended at a nearby dental office and arrested on a charge of battery.

M, who was arrested earlier this year on a drug charge on the Historic Side of The Villages, was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond for the Illinois native was set at $1,000.
