A man is behind bars after he allegedly threatened to kill his former employer, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday.
Around 10:30 a.m. Monday, deputies responded to Eagle Falls Place after 39-year-old Tito Evan-Lloyd reportedly threatened his former manager with a concealed firearm over a paycheck dispute.
Evan-Lloyd had fled the area by the time deputies arrived but was later found at a home on Royal Palm Empress Drive in Ruskin.
Evan-Lloyd was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, felon carrying a concealed weapon, and felon possession of a firearm.
“It is shocking that someone would resort to such extreme measures over a $75 matter. Violence and intimidation have no place in Hillsborough County,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “The suspect’s actions were a serious threat to public safety, and our deputies did an outstanding job in bringing him into custody quickly.”
The sheriff’s office said the investigation is ongoing.
