Suspect hits police vehicle while attempting to flee from officers: Pasco County Sheriff’s Office

A person is in custody after being accused of hitting a police vehicle while attempting to evade police.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy attempted a traffic stop outside of Hernando County around 11:15 a.m on Sunday.

Deputies said the person, who had an outstanding warrant, attempted to flee the scene and struck a PSO vehicle on Denton Ave.

The suspect then proceeded to hit several fences before continuing to flee on foot.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office arrested the suspect and there are no reported injuries from the pursuit.
