Troopers have located a suspect after he ran off following a chase and crash, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
It happened Wednesday afternoon in Pine Castle, northwest of Orlando International Airport, FHP said.
FHP said a trooper tried to stop 23-year-old D C-O earlier Wednesday in Orlando. A report says it was in connection with an investigation into a suspected Tren De Aragua Gang house in Clearwater.
The report says when troopers tried stopping him on a warrant he had out of Osceola County, he took off.
FHP chased him. he later crashed and took off on foot. Leaving a passenger behind.
We spoke with the woman whose fence he crashed into.
“After a long day of work and I found a car just crashed through the fence,” S V said.
Her neighborhood off of South Orange Avenue was covered in Florida Highway Patrol troopers and Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies.
“He like got into like houses, different houses, and then they caught him,” V said she was told by law enforcement.
According to her neighbor right next door, he didn’t get far.
“Right in here they found him,” D D said as he walked into his shed next door to the crash site.
He said he got a knock on his door from law enforcement wanting to search his property.
“So they searched the front of the house, which it was the boat and they didn’t find anything. They came over here and they found him… scary,” He said.
He said the man had been hiding in his shed. For how long, he doesn’t know.
“And then they came out with him in front of the house. They just put him in a patrol car,” he said.
Chopper two was overhead as FHP was seen putting someone into the back of a patrol car. FHP said Cardenas-Osorio was arrested on a warrant, and he’s currently facing hit and run, burglary, and immigration charges.
