Suspect turns himself in after 3 people shot at DeLand home

A man shot three people Sunday evening at a DeLand home during a “domestic dispute,” according to the DeLand Police Department.

Officials said the shooting happened around 8:36 p.m. in the 1000 block of Springdale Court,

Police said the shooter, 30-year-old Bertram Clinton Martin, shot his wife, brother-in-law and sister-in-law.

According to DeLand city officials, the three injured were taken to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford. One was listed in critical condition, but the status of the others injured were not known.

Martin turned himself in, and he is in custody, police said.

Police said officers went to the residence 10-15 minutes prior to the shooting to respond to a complaint about the man breaking windows.

This is a developing story.
