Tampa man arrested after being accused of stabbing a minor in Cape Coral

Cape Coral Police Department says police arrested a man accused of stabbing a child early Sunday morning at a Cape Coral home.

Police and fire crews surrounded the house on Country Club Boulevard just after midnight Sunday.

FH, 22, is facing child cruelty charges. H is from Tampa.

CCPD tells Gulf Coast News the victim was a minor under 18-years-old. Police say H and the victim knew each other.

Gulf Coast News saw multiple people in handcuffs outside a home during the early-morning investigation.

A woman living nearby tells Gulf Coast News she was surprised to hear the news.

The homeowner said she won’t let it make her too fearful.

“Anger and vitriol. That’s around you anyway,” said Marcy Culbreth. “People you would least expect often.”
