Authorities are investigating a shooting that took place in Tampa early Saturday morning and left one man injured.
According to the Tampa Police Department, around 1:20 a.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 3000 block of Sanchez Street.
Officers said they arrived to find a man with upper body trauma and immediately provided first aid.
Tampa Fire Rescue also responded and took the man to a nearby hospital where he is currently in stable but critical condition.
Detectives are still trying to determine what led to the shooting but said that preliminary information suggests the shooting was not random.
