The driver of a tanker truck ran over a cyclist on Fort Lauderdale Beach Friday morning, killing him or her, according to police.

The crash happened along Seabreeze Boulevard, just south of East Las Olas Boulevard.

Fort Lauderdale police said the cyclist, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Video from Sky 10 shows a yellow tarp covering the cyclist’s body underneath one of the truck’s rear wheels.

The tanker truck bears the markings of Port Consolidated, a fuel company based out of Port Everglades.

The crash caused major traffic delays, including the closure of the southbound lanes of Seabreeze Boulevard and the eastbound lanes of the Las Olas bridge.

Authorities have not said what led up to the wreck, whether they’ve determined fault or if the driver will face any citations or charges.
