A Fruitland Park teen was arrested for allegedly punching her mother’s shoulder after being told to clean her room.
An officer responded to the residence of 18-year-old AGH on Pine Ridge Dairy Road regarding a battery incident around 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Fruitland Park Police Department.
Upon arrival, the officer met with H’s mother at the front door. She advised that she was sitting at the dining room table when Hawley punched her on the back of her right shoulder. A witness corroborated this statement, the report said.
H was standing in her room listening to this conversation and did not dispute her mother’s claim. She then admitted to hitting her mother after being told to clean her room, the report said.
She was subsequently arrested on charge of simple battery (domestic) and transported to Lake County Jail. She was released after posting $250 bond.
