A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a shooting at a Wawa at Colonial Boulevard and State Road 82 in Fort Myers.
The incident happened on Aug. 6 at approximately 3:24 p.m. when an altercation between teens escalated into a shooting.
The Fort Myers Police Department said officers found multiple shell casings and learned that bullets struck two vehicles. According to police, no one was injured.
Fort Myers police announced JLC, 17, was arrested Tuesday. C is facing the following charges:
- Discharge of a firearm from a vehicle
- Weapon offense — missile into dwelling/vehicle/building
- Possession of a weapon or ammunition by a delinquent/felon
- Unlawful possession of a firearm by a person under 18
- Criminal mischief
