The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is searching for the driver of a vehicle that is suspected of crashing into a teenage pedestrian and driving off Monday morning.
JSO said the hit-and-run took place on Blanding Boulevard near Cedar Hills Boulevard in the early morning hours Monday. Investigators said a teenager was crossing Blanding Boulevard when they were struck by the vehicle pictured below.
The suspect vehicle is described as a white Toyota Yaris, or something similar.
JSO said after hitting the teen, the driver pulled into a parking lot to survey the damage to their vehicle, then drove off. The teenager was transported to a hospital with “life threatening injuries.”
