A house fire on McLeod Drive early Monday left one person with minor burns, according to the Tallahassee Fire Department.
The incident unfolded around 1:45 a.m. after firefighters responded to a structure fire on McLeod Drive.
Firefighters arrived on the scene and found heavy smoke and flames coming from the garage and spreading into the main home, TFD said in a press release.
TFD crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire and prevent further damage to the home.
However, one person did suffer minor burns to the arms and was transported to a local hospital, according to the fire department.
The fire department said the cause of the fire appeared to be electrical.
