Three seriously injured in head-on crash on Highway 97, charges pending

Three people were seriously injured in a crash Friday afternoon on Highway 97.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 59-year-old Pensacola man was driving a Ford pickup truck headed North and failed to stay in his lane.

This caused him to collide with a 42-year-old Camden woman’s Chevy pickup truck that was traveling South head-on, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Three people were taken to the hospital for medical attention and criminal charges are pending, according to FHP.
