Three teens killed in single-car accident in Hancock County

Three teenagers from Diamondhead lost their lives in a single-vehicle accident on Monday, as reported by the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department. Hancock County Sheriff Ricky Adam confirmed that the tragic incident took place in the morning on Texas Flat Road.

The teenagers who tragically passed away have been identified as Jackson Aaron Rodriguez, aged 18, Jacob Isaiah Harper, aged 17, and Benjamin Kaden Gryner, aged 16.

This unfortunate accident occurred when their pickup truck veered off the road, crossed a ditch, and ultimately entered the woods, according to authorities. Tragically, all three teenagers lost their lives at the scene, with two of them being ejected from the vehicle, and one trapped inside.

The details surrounding the crash are currently under investigation.

Benjamin Kaden Gryner, the youngest among the three, was an individual who had a deep passion for video games, basketball, anime, and skiing, as revealed in his obituary. He was originally born in Austin, Texas and had previously lived in Idaho before relocating to Diamondhead, where he had built strong connections with a close-knit group of friends. He is survived by his parents, grandparents, two siblings, as well as an aunt and uncles.

Gryner’s obituary states that a funeral service in his memory is scheduled for November 7th, which will be conducted by Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis.
