Three-time Super Bowl champion accused of multi-vehicle collision in Riviera Beach

A former NFL cornerback is accused of crashing into multiple vehicles in a parking garage in Riviera Beach.

The Riviera Beach Police Department (RBPD) said on Sunday, six vehicles were damaged following a major collision inside the Marina Grande parking garage at 2650 Lake Shore Drive.

Investigators are working to identify the owners of the five vehicles involved in the collision, but the suspect — 60-year-old Timothy B. McKyer — was taken into custody. According to investigators, McKyer allegedly struck five parked vehicles inside the garage before he fled the scene.

McKyer is an ex-NFL player, he played in the league from 1986 to 1997. McKyer won three Super Bowl championships, two with the San Francisco 49ers and one with the Denver Broncos.

McKyer was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on five counts of leaving the scene of an accident with property damage exceeding $50, one criminal citation for traffic misdemeanor leaving the scene, and a traffic infraction for failure to report citation.
