An international tourist is in custody and is accused of hurting a 17-year-old girl while waiting for a parade at Magic Kingdom.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said deputies arrested 51-year-old MLZ-E on Monday night. She’s charged with child abuse.
According to the arrest report, deputies responded to Magic Kingdom around 9:40 p.m.
The victim told deputies she was standing on the sidewalk on Main Street U.S.A. in front of Cinderella Castle, preparing to watch the parade. The teen said that’s when Z-E put her hand on her, “trying to make space.” The teen asked Z-E not to touch her, according to the report.
Deputies said the victim then moved back to help another guest get past her, and the suspect grabbed her by the arm and pulled her to the side, causing a bruise and abrasion on her right arm.
Z-E told investigators she was following her daughter to try to get to the front of the crowd to watch the parade and said the victim pushed into her, saying it was “her spot.”
The report states Z-E pushed back and caused a small abrasion and bruise on the teen’s arm. Deputies said no other witnesses or surveillance footage captured the incident.
During Z-E’s first appearance Tuesday, her attorney said she was visiting Central Florida on a tourist visa and arrived on July 2. The report states she was born in Colombia and has citizenship in Spain. She’s scheduled to fly back Wednesday, her attorney said.
A judge reduced Z-E’s bond to $2,500 and said she cannot return to any Disney property.
