A crash involving a tractor-trailer blocked northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 75 in Marion County on Tuesday, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reports.

This crash was located between the Micanopy exit (County Road 234) to the north and the Irvine/Orange Lake exit (County Road 318to the south.

Troopers said the tractor-trailer, loaded with drywall, was traveling north on I-75 when, for an unknown reason, it traveled onto the left shoulder, where the front left wheel struck the guardrail. The tractor-trailer then overturned in the median on its passenger side. As a result, the crash reduced interstate traffic to two lanes in both directions and slowed travel times significantly.
