A crash involving a tractor-trailer in Miami-Dade County’s Brownsville area left at least one adult hospitalized on Friday afternoon, authorities confirmed.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said medics transported the victim by ground to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center as a trauma alert.

Sky 10 was over the scene at 2:35 p.m., as the tractor-trailer was on its side and a road closure was in effect near the intersection of Northwest 46th Street and Northwest 27th Avenue.

An MDFR spokesperson initially said six people were involved in the crash. The remaining five were evaluated at the scene and reported no injuries.

Additional details about the crash weren’t immediately available.
