A crash with injuries involving an overturned semi-truck shut down all northbound lanes on Interstate 295, just north of Interstate 10, on early Thursday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported around 6:26 a.m.

Around 9 a.m., one lane had reopened, and two right lanes remained blocked.

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department told News4JAX one adult, whom FHP identified as the driver of the semi, was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Troopers said metal beams were discarded onto the road, and crews were working to clear the scene.

FHP said drivers can expect “extensive delays.”
