A 27-year-old motorcyclist died after being struck by a truck at County Road 215 and Blanding Boulevard in Clay County Thursday morning.
FHP said a Ford F350 towing a flatbed trailer was stopped on CR 215 waiting to turn left on Blanding Boulevard. A motorcyclist was traveling south on Blanding and the truck pulled out in front of the rider, causing him to strike the truck and the trailer, FHP said.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital, where he died, FHP said.
Officials said they don’t believe alcohol or any other impairment was involved.
As of 7:15 a.m., all southbound lanes were blocked, but traffic is being diverted onto CR 215 through a convenience store parking lot.
This is a developing story.
