A man was seriously injured and airlifted to the hospital after a truck and motorcycle collided in Spring Hill.
Hernando County Fire Rescue responded just before 8 a.m. Thursday to the intersection of Mariner Boulevard and Hearth Road.
The Florida Highway Patrol said a 68-year-old woman driving a Toyota Tacoma was traveling southbound on Mariner Boulevard, and a 25-year-old man was driving a motorcycle in the northbound lanes.
The woman turned left, south of Hearth Road, at a driveway, and the motorcycle crashed into the truck, according to state troopers.
Photos show the motorcycle wedged under the pickup truck’s back tire.
The road was closed as officials investigated, but has since reopened, according to the Florida Highway Patrol crash map.
