A semitruck became engulfed in flames Monday morning after a crash with a car on Interstate 4 in Osceola County, shutting down westbound lanes.
Traffic cameras showed flames and smoke billowing from the vehicle near mile marker 59 on I-4 west before the fire was put out.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 2017 Ford Focus and the semitruck collided, sending the semi into a guardrail before it erupted in flames.
FHP said no one was taken to the hospital.
Troopers said drivers should find an alternate route. The Florida Department of Transportation said drivers can take World Drive to US-192. Toll roads State Road 429 or State Road 417 are also options.
Drivers are being diverted on I-4 westbound east of mile marker 59 while crews clean-up the wreck.
Both directions of the interstate were shut down, but a couple eastbound lanes later reopened. Traffic cameras show traffic heavily backed up in the eastbound lanes.
No other information was made available.
An investigation is ongoing.
