Authorities are investigating after an accident involving two semi tractor-trailers, including an Amazon truck closed the northbound lanes of Florida’s Turnpike in Martin County.

It happened near mile marker 129 around 6:15 a.m.

Florida Highway Patrol said one tractor-trailer was in the left lane and “failed to use due care” while traveling, entering the right lane of the other semi and hitting its rear left corner.

The driver of the tractor-trailer who made the merge and a 10-year-old who was also in the vehicle were transported to Martin South Hospital.
