Two arrested after street racing crash in Walton County

Walton County deputies arrested two people this weekend after a street racing crash.

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a complaint about reckless driving.

Deputies said they were heading to the call when they encountered a vehicle drifting on the corner of West Hewett Road before sliding into a ditch.

The driver of the Honda Civic was arrested for street racing, while the passenger was arrested for facilitating social media coverage and was recording the incident.

The vehicle is impounded for 30 days.
