Two dead in south Fort Myers motorcycle crash

SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. —

Two people were killed in a crash involving a motorcycle in south Fort Myers Monday evening.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the deadly crash happened south of Gladiolus Drive on US-41.

According to reports, the driver lost control of the motorcycle, which then overturned onto its side.

Troopers say the driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead on the scene.The adult passenger reportedly was transported to the hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries.Troopers have not identified the victims at this time.The crash remains under investigation by FHP.
