Two people are dead after a wrong way driver caused multiple car crashes on I-95 on Saturday morning, per the Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO).
In a Facebook post, MCSO said a reckless driver was traveling northbound on I-95 in the early hours near mile marker 108 and caused three crashes.
Two of them fatal.
The at-fault individual who was driving southbound in the northbound lanes was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
MCSO says the single occupant drivers of the two vehicles the suspect hit were both killed.
I-95 northbound was shut down but has since reopened.3
No other information has been released on the two victims or suspect.
The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) has taken over the investigation. CBS12 News has reached out to FHP for more information on this developing story.
