Two former employees within the school district of Palm Beach County are facing jail time after being accused of sexual misconduct with students, one of whom was in middle school.
Corey Pierce, 21, of Palm Springs, worked as a middle school substitute teacher at Woodlands Middle School and is accused of messaging students at the school using TikTok and kissing them while on campus. Meanwhile, Jordan Augustine, 21, was a hall monitor at Royal Palm Beach Community High School and faces allegations of having sex with a student while off campus.
According to Pierce’s arrest report, the allegations came from two students on March 27 who both alleged that Pierce would send them messages through social media and had kissed them both. One of the students claimed she saw the other come close to kissing his privates.
The report states that the two middle-school-aged girls went to Pierce’s class before their second-period class due to one of them having anxiety. When they entered his class, he was sitting alone watching a movie. One of the girls approached Pierce while the other stayed by the door.
The girl standing by the door said that Pierce and the other girl began to kiss on the lips. The report reads the girl standing by the door said, “she did not know how to feel and did not think it was right because he was…a teacher.”
The report states, at one point, Pierce got up and checked the classroom window because he thought someone was entering the room. As he checked the door, he allegedly tried to kiss the girl who was standing by the door, but she moved her head. He then tried to touch her butt, but she moved his hand away, the police complaint continued.
The girl told investigators that she heard rumors about Pierce messaging other students on TikTok. When he messaged her, she reported it to the middle school’s therapist, the report states.
On March 29 district police met with Pierce at Joaquin Garcia High School about the allegations. He went into detail about the two students coming into the classroom because one of the girls wasn’t feeling well and alleged that one of the girls forced herself on him.
The report says Pierce confessed to communicating with his students on social media, but said he never communicated with them on TikTok.
Pierce was then taken into custody, the report reads.
