Two hospitalized after Fort Pierce shooting, detectives on scene

Detectives are investigating a Sunday morning shooting in Fort Pierce that left two people hospitalized.

According to the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office (SLCSO), at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Patrol Operations Deputies responded to the 2000 block of N. 21st Street in Fort Pierce for reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, deputies say they located two victims with gunshot wounds and transported them to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Deputies say the incident appears to be isolated with no known threat to the public at this time.

Detectives are reportedly still on scene, collecting evidence and gathering information.
