Two people, including a firefighter, were injured in a house fire in Bradenton Thursday night, Southern Manatee Fire Rescue said.
Fire crews were dispatched to a condemned single-family home in the 100 block of 28th Avenue Drive East, around 7:10 p.m.
Several people were discovered inside the home amid heavy smoke and flames coming from a bedroom, fire officials said.
One person was found outside the home suffering from smoke inhalation. They were treated and taken to a hospital, said Battalion Chief Chris Gould.
One firefighters also sustained minor injuries and was treated at a hospital.
Gould says the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
