Two killed in head-on collision in Calhoun County

Two people died after a head-on collision in Calhoun County on SR 73 Tuesday afternoon.

The Florida Highway Patrol says a pickup truck driven by a 30-year-old man was heading north on SR 73 at NW Pond View Dr. An SUV driven by a 55-year-old man from Crawfordville was headed south.

According to FHP, the pickup truck crossed into oncoming traffic and struck the SUV head-on.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

FHP says the crash is still under investigation.
