Two Navarre residents killed in head-on motorcycle crash in Bay County

Two Navarre residents were killed in a head-on motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon in Bay County.

It happened around 4:10 p.m. on State Road 20.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a 46-year-old Milton man was traveling east on State Road 20 in his pickup truck, while the Navarre residents — a 50-year-old man (driver) and a 52-year-old woman (passenger) — were traveling west on a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

“As the pickup truck approached a right curve (going east), it crossed the painted yellow center lines and entered the westbound lane,” FHP says in a release.

The front of the pickup truck then collided with the front portion of the motorcycle, according to FHP.

The Navarre residents were thrown from the motorcycle onto the roadway. The pickup truck ran off the road into the tree line.

Both Navarre residents died from their injuries.

The pickup truck driver suffered minor injuries.

No further details were released.
