Two people were injured when two golf carts sideswiped each other Wednesday afternoon on the Morse Boulevard Bridge at Lake Sumter.
One golf cart was northbound and the other was southbound when they struck each other at about 2 p.m., according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. The southbound golf cart traveled over the concrete median into the vehicle travel lane on Morse Boulevard.
Two people traveling in the southbound golf cart suffered minor injuries and were transported by ambulance to UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital in The Villages. Two people traveling in the northbound golf cart escaped injury.
No citations were issued.
