A Leesburg teen was arrested for driving without a license after colliding with a hydrant and causing a minor flood.
Kasey Hailie Clark, 19, crashed a Ford F-150 into a fire hydrant in front of Dollar Tree, located at 21761 U.S. Hwy. 441, around 6:55 p.m. Thursday, according to an arrest report from the Mount Dora Police Department.
A passerby later told law enforcement about how the vehicle struck the hydrant, causing it to burst and create a minor flood in the area. Clark claimed the road was wet, which made her swerve and hit the hydrant. However, the passerby advised that the roadway was in fact dry before the incident, the report said.
Additionally, a check of Clark’s driving history revealed she did not possess a valid driver’s license, the report said.
Clark was arrested on charge on no valid driver’s license. She was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $500 bond.
