US 1 shut down after motorcyclist airlifted following crash in southwest Miami-Dade

Authorities responded to a medical call Thursday afternoon following reports of a downed motorcyclist on US 1 near mile marker 124 in southwest Miami-Dade.

Authorities said air rescue personnel were called to the scene, and the highway was shut down to serve as a landing zone.

Air Rescue North transported the individual, who is an adult, to a nearby trauma center.
