A vehicle caught on fire after a crash at the intersection of Alico Rd. and Oriole.

San Carlos Park Fire Protection & Rescue Service District responded to the crash just after 11:40 a.m. on Thursday.

The crash caused all westbound lanes of Alico Rd. to be shut down.

Both vehicles sustained heavy damage, and one vehicle caught fire.

Two people were treated for minor injuries.

Crews remain on the scene to mitigate hazards.

SCPFD recommends drivers to seek alternate routes to avoid traffic.

Lee County Public Safety and Lee County Sheriff’s Office were also on the scene.
