New video shows the moments a man was arrested after a hit-and-run crash involving a fire truck in Volusia County.

The Florida Highway Patrol video shows R in the back of a trooper’s car. Investigators said R hit a Volusia County fire truck that was at the scene of another crash and then fled, continuing on International Speedway Boulevard.

His car eventually struck a pole, and part of the engine was thrown out.

In the video, R became emotional, telling troopers he was the “sorriest dude” and mentioning that he has a baby on the way.

“I got scared,” R can be heard saying on video.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said R stopped at one point during the pursuit to let out two passengers.

In the video, he told troopers he was in the car with two other people.
