VIDEO: Tampa officers rescue driver stuck in flipped car on fire

Officers with the Tampa Police Department rescued a driver who was stuck in a flipped car that caught on fire on Sunday.

Police said they were called to the 320 block of East Fowler Avenue after receiving a call about the car fire.

Video from the police department showed officers quickly rushing over to the car and beginning to shatter the windshield.

Moments later, they pulled the driver to safety.

The police department said the driver and two Tampa police officers suffered minor injuries.

“Fortunately, the only loss that night was a vehicle,” Tampa police posted on Facebook.
