Villager arrested after fight with lady friend in kitchen at their home

A Villager was arrested after a fight with his lady friend in the kitchen at their home.

DRM II, 55, of the Village of Caroline, is facing a charge of battery following his arrest at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday by Sumter County sheriff’s deputies.

M and the woman were involved in an altercation when he “aggressively approached her,” got in her face and “began to yell at her,” according to an arrest report. She attempted to push M away in an attempt to create distance between them. He responded by pushing her to the ground and “standing over her with his fists raised in a fighting stance.”

The Baltimore native was taken into custody and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. He was released after posting $2,500 bond.
