A semi-truck flipped over the median on southbound I-275 this morning, closing multiples lanes and slowing traffic to a crawl in both directions.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the crash happened when an unknown vehicle cut off a Mercedes driving in one of the center lanes.
The driver of the Mercedes, a 47-year-old Land O Lakes man, swerved left to avoid a collision and struck the semi-truck, driven by an 18-year-old Largo man.
The Mercedes came to a controlled stop on the shoulder and the driver was unharmed.
The semi-truck veered into the center median and flipped onto the grass. The truck driver was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The truck was hot pink and said “Wasteline Solutions” on the side.
