The Walton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the report of a stabbing that happened in Santa Rosa Beach late Saturday night.
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office was called to Shunk Gully Oyster Bar on 30a around 10:30 p.m following a 911 call regarding a fight between two men in the parking lot.
An investigation found that both parties worked at the establishment, and a verbal argument progressed throughout the day until the end of their shifts.
Officials said one of the men fled the scene, and the other was transported with non-life-threatening injuries sustained from a knife.
The man who used a knife during the fight and fled the scene is a Jamaican national in the United States on a work visa, officials confirmed.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement has been notified, and his passport has been flagged. Panama City Beach Police and the Bay County Sheriff’s Office have also been notified.
Officials said they are trying to locate the suspect at this time.
This investigation is ongoing, and officials believe the fight to be an isolated incident between two parties who are known to each other.
