West Palm Beach police: Man injured after beam falls on him at a church.

A man is in critical condition after an incident at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in West Palm Beach on Monday.

According to the West Palm Beach Police Department, an eight-foot long 2×4 fell from a church roof and hit the man in the head. The roofer was working on the ground when the beam fell 25 feet from the roof. The man was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center.

The church is located at 418 North Sapodilla Ave. At this time, it is unknown if the man was wearing a helmet.
