A Winter Haven woman died Sunday evening in a crash on US-27 in Polk County when her car went off the roadway, according to sheriff’s officials.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said Serrina Bielss, 22, was driving a 2015 Fiat and the only one involved in the crash.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies and Polk County Fire Rescue responded to the wreck around 9:50 p.m. just north of Peace Creek RV Park Road.

Bielss was traveling north on US-27 and went off the road for an unknown reason, crashing into brush along a ditch, deputies said. She was taken to the hospital, where she later died.

Detectives did not find “evidence of corrective steering or braking,” officials said.
