Woman accused of punching child during Pinellas County school conference

A woman was arrested Thursday for punching a student at a Pinellas County school, an affidavit revealed.

S S, 36, is accused of punching the child after she arrived at the school to meet with an administrator for a conference regarding an issue with the child.

According to the document, S received information about the child dating another girl and was “not happy about that information.”

S reportedly called the child to get closer, in which she then punched the student in the face with a closed fist.

A witness told St. Petersburg police that S struck the child “very hard” and was angry.

In the affidavit, S has some relationship with the victim, but the exact connection to the child has been redacted.

S was arrested and being held without bond.
