The Panama City Police Department has arrested a woman for attempted murder at the intersection of 14th Street and Mercedes Avenue on Sunday.
According to an affidavit, 20-year-old KBM convinced the victim to meet her at midnight by contacting her through a fake Facebook and iCloud account.
Authorities stated that M had messaged the victim, claiming she could not find the victim’s house and needed her to walk to the nearest intersection.
M jumped out of the bushes and threw a brick at the victim’s face when she approached the intersection.
Authorities said that the victim began to run back to her house when M followed her, shooting three times before the gun jammed.
The victim called law enforcement when she returned home and is uninjured.
Authorities said that the two had previous problems due to one of M’s relatives.
M has been charged with attempted murder and discharging a firearm in public/residential property.
