A Marion County woman is charged with manslaughter after an accident early Saturday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, the sedan was traveling south on State Road 35 and failed to turn during a curve. The crash happened at 2:35 a.m.
The sedan ran off the roadway onto the shoulder. The car rotated and struck a wooden fence and then a large tree.
The passenger, 27-year-old man was ejected out of the vehicle after it struck the tree. The man was not wearing a seatbelt.
He was pronounced dead at the HCA Hospital Ocala.
The driver, 28-year-old woman sustained minor injuries and was put under arrest for DUI Manslaughter.
