A woman was arrested Sunday on DUI charges after a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 95 in Brevard County, according to sheriff’s officials.
Deputies with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office responded Sunday evening to a hit-and-run crash. Deputies said the victim’s vehicle was struck by a white sedan, driven by SM, at a “low rate of speed.”
M reversed and then struck the victim’s vehicle again before driving down I-95 at 30 mph, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies located M and pulled her over to conduct a DUI investigation. When deputies asked for M’s ID, they spotted “an almost empty bottle of Fireball on the passenger seat,” the sheriff’s office said.
M’s breath test showed a .173 and .169, the sheriff’s office said.
She faces charges of DUI, leaving the scene of a crash with damage, and DUI with damage to property.
